Page headers sit at the top of your webpage, right below the navigation menu. They’re usually the first thing visitors see.
Page headers show what your page is about and are important for making a good first impression.
With the โPage Headerโ module in Astra Pro, you can create different headers for different pages on your website.
Note: Ensure you have both the Astra theme and the Astra Pro Add-on installed and activated on your website.
Activating Page Headers
You must activate the โPage Headerโ module at Astra > Dashboard to start creating and customizing page headers on your website.
Access the โSettingsโ option on this module to create page headers.
Displaying Different Page Headers for Different Pages
Once you access the page header settings, follow these steps to create page headers:
- Click on the โAdd Newโ button.
- Provide a name to your header and customize it according to your preferences. Hereโs a guide that talks about these customization options in detail.
- Navigate to the โDisplay Rulesโ tab once youโre done customizing the page header.
- Access the dropdown menu right next to โDisplay Onโ and under โSpecial Pagesโ select the page that you want to display your page header on.
- If your desired page isn’t listed under Special Pages, choose “Specific Pages/Posts/Taxonomies, etc.” from the dropdown. Then, enter the page names where you want the page header to appear.
- The โUser Rolesโ dropdown lets you display page headers to specific users. For this example, weโll just select “All” to display it to everyone.
- Click on the โPublishโ button once youโre done.
The page header you created will now appear on these selected pages.
Using Site Builder
For more complex header designs on different pages, use the Site Builder module. It gives you a visual overview of your entire site, where you can create, view, and edit different parts like the Header, Footer, 404 Pages, Hooks, Single & Archive templates, and more.
