Clone Elements in Header Footer Builder

With the Astra Header Footer builder, you can effortlessly add different elements like logos, menus, buttons, and widgets to create a unique navigation experience for your website.

By default, a limited number of elements are present in the grid. You can add more by cloning the elements.

Let us understand a bit more about these options.

Note:

1. The Clone option is available only with Astra Pro. To use these options, ensure you have the Astra Pro plugin installed, updated, and activated.

2. The Clone option is only available for elements that can be used in multiple numbers. Examples: buttons, menus, widgets, etc. These will not be available for single elements such as logo, search, etc.

Clone Header Footer Elements

As the name suggests, this option allows you to clone/duplicate Header and Footer Builder elements.

Cloning will create an exact copy of elements with text and style. This will save you time to design similar elements again from scratch. You can clone and easily place elements at a required position just with a simple single drag-and-drop movement.

Follow these steps to clone your website’s header and footer elements:

Navigate to Astra > Customize from your WordPress dashboard and then access Header or Footer.

Hover over elements in the Header and Footer builder to see small clone icons. Click on these icons to duplicate the desired element.

With the clone element feature in the header and footer, here is what you can do:

• Add more footer builder widgets available in the widget section. By default, there are 4 widgets, and after cloning any one, you will get widget 5 and so on.
• You can clone the widgets and get up to 10 widgets in the footer and header builder. If your footer customizer shows only 4 widgets, simply clone any widget multiple times to get all 10 widgets. Follow the same for the header.
• This will allow adding additional widget areas in the footer columns. For example, if you extend the footer columns to more than 4, you can add 5th widget by cloning the widgets.
• Similarly, you can add more HTML elements, buttons on your header or footer.

Remove Header Footer Elements

You can also remove the elements from the grid. These will stay part of the header once they are cloned. After clicking the X icon for any element, you can remove it from the grid, but it is still available to add again without the requirement of cloning again.
